The name has nothing whatsoever to do with those troublesome furry creatures, it's named in honour of the previous owner. When we decided to buy the cottage, the estate agent telephoned the owner, a Chinese man, and said "Mr Lee I'm pleased to inform you that I have a buyer for your house." "Oh" he replied "rat's magic!"
