The
cottage was built in 1905 and has been modernised to include
a spacious open plan kitchen and dining room with a view of
the Caingorms. It is a cosy and comfortable cottage situated
by the railway line. This has a charming effect; the infrequent
rumble of the trains providing much entertainment. |

|
The
lounge (above, left) retains attractive original stonework together
with an open fire. There is a television, DVD player, Playstation,
video, hi-fi, and a varied collection of DVDs, videos, books
and music. The dining room (left) has full length French windows
which lead to a private patio with a dry stone barbeque. |

|
The
kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped with stainless steel
pans and utensils, a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine,
and high quality crockery. There is also a breakfast bar for
sunny breakfasts and bird watching! |

There
are three bedrooms. The main double bedroom (left) has an extra
double sofabed, fitted wardrobes, and hair dryer. The second
double bedroom has fitted wardrobes. The third bedroom is a
twin with bunkbeds. Bed linen and towels for maximum occupancy
are provided. |

The
recently refurbished bathroom (left) has a bath and electric
shower. There is a separate toilet. The cottage has a full central
heating system which, together with a blazing fire, provides
a welcome refuge should the weather turn cold. |
