Road
From
the South (Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Perth)
Aviemore is approximately 130 miles north of Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Follow the A9 north and turn off right at the Aviemore / Coylumbridge
sign. Follow the main road (the old A9) through the town. You will
pass the Hilton hotel on your left, Tesco supermarket on your left,
and a pub called 'The Winking Owl' on your left. 50m past the pub
turn right into Seafield Place, just before a rather plain looking
church. Follow the road to the bottom and you will find that Seafield
Place turns into Railway Terrace. Rat's Magic (number 14) is the
first end-of-terrace house on your right.
From
the North (Inverness)
Aviemore is approximately 30 miles south of Inverness. Follow the
A9 south and turn off left at the Aviemore / Boat of Garten sign.
Follow the main road (the old A9) into Aviemore. You will pass Barratt's
resort on the left and about 500m later see a church on the left
and the Alt-na-Craig hotel on the right. Turn immediately left after
the church into Seafield Place. Follow the road to the bottom and
you will find that Seafield Place turns into Railway Terrace. Rat's
Magic (number 14) is the first end-of-terrace house on your right.
By
Train
Aviemore is serviced by Scotrail,
GNER, and Virgin
Trains. Rat's Magic is approximately a half a mile from the
Train Station. There is a taxi rank directly outside the station,
and a taxi ride should cost about £3. Should you wish to walk,
turn right out of the station and continue along the main road past
two sets of shops until you come to Seafield Place after about half
a mile. Follow the road to the bottom and you will find that Seafield
Place turns into Railway Terrace. Rat's Magic (number 14) is the
first end-of-terrace house on your right.
